How we got started-Pastors Rick and Violeta Beal both had been involved in various ministries for a number of years including a jail ministry and ministries which worked with ones with addictive behavior. In 2013 the Holy Spirit spoke to Pastor Ricks heart about starting their own ministry. He was not certain what the ministry would offer or even what it would be named. The Holy Spirit gave Pastor Violeta the name Broken Pots from one of her favorite songs that she was listening to The Potters Hand. The name seemed like a natural, for it fit exactly with the ones the Lord led them to whose lives had been broken. The Holy Spirit then brought to Rick the passage of scripture Jeremiah 18: 1-4. At first Rick thought the ministry may be an internet ministry but just like the selection of the ministry name the Holy Spirit developed the ministry with branches and services that touch every area of the lives of ones that are incarcerated, formerly incarcerated or have addictive behaviors.
